Virtues: Will definitely keep his promises and is very excellent when goal-driven, and if he has a good enough opinion of you, he will be more 'friendly' towards you.
Vices: Lazy as hell, and makes fun of others when misery falls upon them, 'teases' whoever he deems 'pathetic' and is graphic in his descriptions, plus he is moderately violent.
Debatable?: Returns the same amount of respect given to him. Brutally honest. Holds grudges.

BACKGROUND
During the passing generations, humankind has grown to become more ignorant and more resistant to the abilities of Japan's youkais, and the balance of life has been severely disrupted, and it has grown to be exponentially worse for the majority of eastern demons, who thrive on their beliefs, fear, and acknowledgement. Soon the majority of the species shall only hold on to a string of life; the documentaries of mankind.
In the midst of the unbalance, Aivn was born. The young Satori was born in Mie, Japan, a rural village that was rumored to exist for more than 10,000 years. Unlike his earliest ancestors, the modern Satori naturally mutated over the long years, and so he, like many other Satoris, can no longer read minds, and among all the demons, they have changed significantly; demons who possess the original abilities are very uncommon, or even rare (according to a very, VERY rough research conducted by demons)
Aivn lived like any normal demon would under the Asakura manor , and at the age of 500, he was very, very intelligent. When he became 1200, he was qualified under youkai standards that he was coming of age, and thus it was the first time he had stepped outside the spirit realm; he saw people who feared darkness, spirits and demons. The young Satori was taught that fear of the humans supply the Satori's spiritual realm many resources--and that in turn, it was the job of demons to make mankind fear them and make them develop virtues through suffering, under a very ethereal and sacred order.
300 years later. Mankind has developed out of their fear. No longer do they fear demons, but fear themselves. Demons who gain much recognition such as vampires, ogres, and onis thrive on the acknowledgement they receive, but...Demons whose identification lies in shadows live harsh lives because of the lack of acknowledgement from the humans. Forces weakened. And because of the order not being held, mankind exponentially grew 'better', 'stronger', 'faster'...
The Satori were one of the few species that lies between the shadows and the spotlight, but their lives were slowly leaning to the shadows.... Aivn, who was 1500 at the time, was confused when he stepped to the human world once again. They were in oblivion of their actions. They had more protection. They hurt their own kind more too often than they should. And the Earth. It was crying. Stray demons whose identity were overshadowed starved on the side, but due to the lack of acknowledgement, they could not at least hold on to objects and could not uphold their vitality, but yet they still existed, so every day they were in pain.
He understood, finally, why had everyone given up. It was a lost cause and demons could not keep up with humans-- and then, humans became their own demons. He treasured the values of life and could not comprehend why humans had simply become more ignorant of their meanings. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
1579 years old. Aivn ran away from his manor to live on his own, and took part of the wealth with him. He could not be blamed for his actions; the manor had fallen and so few remain to uphold it. He abandoned his last name, Asakura, that tied him to his family and became Yomi Aivn.
1600 years old. During the after years of 1579, the Asakura manor had fallen. There were other Satori, however, but his family, in particular, had fallen. He had gotten sick of the life out of balance. If it were possible to reverse the current scale....things would surely go back to normal after a few centuries of recovering....

This was when Aivn had decided to renew humanity. Reset the slate. Renew their own lives. And perhaps....keeping it that way, for sure. Oppress them. Hurt them. Make them learn it, the hard way.

He transferred to The Academy of Villains to further increase his knowledge in certain subjects that are otherwise impossible to learn back in his spiritual realm, resolved to change the world.

TL;DR: Humanity is being stupid and he wants to wreck havoc on their butts for his own benefit(and possibly others as well).

SKILLS
Although he is a Satori demon, his abilities are distorted and changed over the years. Genetic mutation and evolution (or degradation?) is not limited to his species, after all.
Heaven's Nightmares == ACTIVE/PASSIVE (depends on availability of naked eye vision)
--Third eye enables to see....certain 'abnormalities'. Aivn, using his second vision, can tell the difference between what is real and what is fabricated, whether or not one has been cursed or blessed or none, see magical levels, satanic influences, and special individual auras, and possibly many other things. This vision cannot be overlapped with the naked-eye vision, and is a separate vision all on its own, and can be rendered useless temporarily if you seal his eye (the eye will eventually undo the seal). It can be turned on/off. When using, the third eye will glow ominously RED. If his normal vision is sealed, his third eye will become the temporary default vision.
Controlled Telepathy == ACTIVE
--Instead of his ancestors' mind reading abilities, majority of the Satori's abilities have mutated naturally to telepathy, or transmission of 'information', due to the recent nature of the human population. Such of Aivn's abilities include [IMPRINTING], [MIND CHANNEL], [NERVE MIMIC], [MEMORY ROUGE], [REDIRECT], and [TRANCE]. ((Info will be added later.))
Cosmic Chronicler == PASSIVE
--Aivn has superior memory and knowledge. Due to this, he does not forget anything. At all. He is also an excellent learner due to superior memory; and no, teaching him anything bogus will not make him learn bogus; he'll know that it's bogus since such nonsense is obviously and absolutely incomprehensible.
Recurring Nightmares == PASSIVE
--The third eye is a neutralizer. Should Aivn go blind on all three eyes, the third eye will gradually recover itself. Depending on the powers of the sealing magic, it may take a mere second to recover or perhaps even hours to days to recover. This ability doesn't affect his entire body, either, so should you turn him into...a frog, his third eye will still be there, and should you reverse his age, he retains all memories and knowledge.
General Offensives And Possible Support
Mind tricks, confusion, overload the mind of others, losses of memory, general magic (mainly darkness and illusions;learned before going to AOV)
Memory, knowledge and crazy tactics involving said darkness and illusion magics, give others a bit of an opening, see things otherwise impossible to the naked eye

STRENGTHS
Superior intellect, Stamina (due to being raised in the mountains), superior control over abilities. Seemingly phantom-like? Being able to probably get away if he utilizes his ability.
WEAKNESSES
Scrawny and weak. Seriously, he probably can't lift a facking 10 year-old off the ground. And also he is vulnerable when constrained. And, well, slow. Herp.
TRIVIAL
-Is bisexual.
-Sleeps in when he has absolutely nothing to do.
-He'll latch on to anything nearby to hug while sleeping.

Dang he's sexy. The design for that third eye is really gorgeous, almost tribal.
